Top 5 Wrestlers from the Attitude Era, Definitely Reviewed

(1997-2002) In my opinion, the attitude era was the best era of all time. And in a great era there had to be great wrestlers, such as…

#5 Triple H

Triple H was better in the Ruthless Aggression Era, but was made a HUGE star in the attitude era. HHH became a main eventer, trusted because of his feuds and great matches against the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, and Mick Foley. His in ring work was CRAZY. He had classics and I mean classics against Steve Austin at No Way Out 2001, against Cactus Jack at Royal Rumble 2000, AND against The Rock at Judgement Day 2000.

#4 The Undertaker

The Deadman was phenomenal his whole career, but mostly shined in two eras. The attitude era was one of them. The Undertaker was always featured in the biggest storylines, as a reliable, and trustworthy star who seemed to always put on good matches. He was also so good in the attitude era because of his top notch promos. Undertaker never really had the best promos, but he stepped it up like two notches in the attitude era with CREEPY quotes.

#3 Mick Foley

Foley did INCREDIBLE in the attitude era with COUNTLESS amazing matches. He had great character work, going as “Cactus Jack” and “Mankind” each with their own unique style, in the ring and on the mic. But what set him apart was his in ring skills. He was INSANLY tough, withstanding spots normal men would have died from, literally! His great matches came against the likes of, Randy Orton, Triple H, Steve Austin, and many more. Mick Foley, BUILT his whole legacy during the attitude era, and his nickname, the “Hardcore Legend”.

#2 The Rock

The Rock had everything. His old “Rocky Maivia” and “Blue Chipper” gimmick SUCKED. Then The great one, made an epic comeback, with a new gimmick name, and skill set. He then developed his LEGENDARY promo skills (The Rock is the second best at promos of alll time). Add all that up with unmatched in ring skills and you get some serious skill.

#1 “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

Steve Austin had a pretty short career in WWE and the only time he got to shine was the only time in the business, the attitude era. He did phenomenal at the basics, like storylines with Mick Foley, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, and Kurt Angle, insane promos, and AMAZING matches against all those wrestlers who he had great storylines with. He carried the Monday night wars, helping WWE eventually win the battle against WCW, and being the MVP of WWE while he was there.
