WrestleMania 42 Saturday was overall average (the stage was incredible). There were adds everywhere at WrestleMania and only about 30 percent of the actual show was in ring action. However, there were two matches that shown above the others at WrestleMania 42 Saturday…
#1. Seth Rollins vs Gunther
8.25/10

This technical clinic immediately set a high bar for the evening, opening with an intense sequence of blistering chops from Gunther. Rollins utilized his superior speed to counter with a series of high-flying maneuvers, including a breathtaking frog splash across the ring and a falcon arrow that nearly secured a three count. Rollins hit a stomp in the ring, a pedigree on the announce table, and a stomp on the announce table, however Gunther was lucky when Bron Breaker returned and speared Seth Rollins through his shoes and almost through the barracked. Gunther then hit the devistaing sleeper hold to secure the win in the best match of the night.
#2. Drew Mclyntire vs Jacob Fatu
7.75/10

Chaos defined this brutal, no-rules fight as both men immediately weaponized the ringside environment. McIntyre utilized his sheer strength to overhead belly-to-belly suplex Fatu into an announce table, sending shockwaves through the arena. Fatu recovered with terrifying agility, scaling the turnbuckle to execute a flawless, high-impact moonsault directly onto McIntyre on the arena floor. The end came Fatu hit his signature moonsault through a table in an epic visual.
#3. AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch
5.75/10

Let’s be honest. Wrestlemania 42 night 1 was overbooked and the match quality was lacking a lot. With this as the third best match, it goes to show that WWE is not at its best. The match here was slow paced and the crowd was out of it however the in ring psychology was displayed decently.
#4 Stephanie Vaquer vs Liv Morgan
5.75/10

Vaquer stunned the crowd with her innovative offense, delivering a spectacular springboard hurricanrana and a series of stiff double-knees to Morgan in the corner. Morgan weathered the storm by utilizing ringside tactics and targeting Vaquer's neck with repeated face busters which got boring. The turning point occurred when the referee became distracted by an argument on the apron, allowing members of The Judgment Day to slide into the ring and trip Vaquer. Seizing the advantage, Liv Morgan hit the ObLIVion to retain her championship with heavy boos from the crowd ending the match in a VERY predictable manner.
#5. Fatal Four Way For Women’s Tag Team Championship
5.75/10

The beginning of this match was very odd and clunky at first however it was kept alive by having constant tags and high-risk breakdowns however even this was clunky at times. In a massive twist, an injury stoppage forced a last-minute replacement, bringing out the returning Paige to an enormous ovation from the stadium. Paige injected much needed fresh energy into the bout, clearing the ring with a flurry of headbutts and clotheslines. She then hit her signature Ram-Paige DDT, allowing her and Brie Bella to capture the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in an okay match that should have been much better.
#6. The Usos and LA Knight vs I Show Speed and The Vision
5.75/10

This match was structured around high-energy spots and a whole lot of I Show Speed to maximize crowd engagement. Logan Paul showcased his freakish athleticism by hitting a buckshot lariat, while Austin Theory utilized quick tags to keep LA Knight isolated from his corner which got boring at times and the crowd was not very invested in the matchup making the match have a not so great atmosphere. A major viral moment occurred when the popular streamer IShowSpeed attempted a chaotic running dive off the ropes, only to be intercepted in mid-air by a devastating double superkick from Jimmy and Jey Uso. LA Knight capitalized by hitting a thunderous BFT on Speed to secure the pinfall victory for his team in a lame and slow paced match that needed some more action than Speed getting beat up by LA Knight.
#7. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton
4.25/10

The main event took on a highly slow pace, and deliberate psychological warfare which was very confusing. Orton dominated the middle portion of the contest for a LONG TIME executing his trademark elevated draping DDT and dropping Rhodes onto the announce table multiple times. Rhodes then took control for an even LONGER and more boring sequence targeting Ortons back. Rhodes low blowed Orton in a very odd sequence and hit Orton with a cross Rhodes, leaving the fans with a tense, unresolved cliffhanger ending that left me and many others confused at who the heel was. This was truly one of the worst Wrestlemania main events if not THE WORST.
