WrestleMania 42 Night 2 Every Match Ranked and Reviwed

This is the full WrestleMania 42 Sunday match card in ranked order. It received mixed reviews from fans however I find this card to be great even if Saturday wasn’t how I hoped it would turn out. Well here’s the list…

#6: Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley — WWE Women’s Championship

I expected this fight to be better than it was, but sadly it was under average. The match had very little storytelling or character work. However a good part was that the pace rarely slowed down. This was the type of match that would happen on Smackdown if even that.

#5: Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams — United States Championship

6.25/10

Many like me thought this match was going to be a classic. Instead it was mediocre. Not bad, mediocre. The pace was nice and the moves were executed cleanly, but the crowd wasn’t too into it and the storytelling wasn’t the best. However, Trick Williams winning was a great choice.

#4: Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Bálor — Street Fight

6.75/10

We were all pumped for this street fight when it was announced especially since it wasn’t just Finn Balor fighting, it was DEMON Finn going into WrestleMania. The storyline was great but the story telling in the match could have used some work. The crowd wasn’t exactly pumped, but it did show some energy. The main problem though was the pace and that it didn’t have enough violence that street fights normally bring out in wrestlers. And the ending was a little predictable as Demon Finn has never lost a match.

#3: Penta vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rusev vs. JD McDonagh — Intercontinental Championship

8.25/10

I absolutely loved everything about this brutal brawl. The pace was fast, there was still storytelling even in the midst of 6 men! There were brutal bumps to such as a Mexican destroyer onto a ladder and when Rusev got thrown THROUGH a ladder (shown above). This was everything a ladder match should be.

#2: Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar

8.5/10

Oba Femi and Brock Lesner had the absolute best rivalry coming into WrestleMania and the match did NOT disappoint. The entrances were even top tier, specifically Oba’s. The crowd went nuts for the Ruler’s entrance and throughout the whole fight. There was incredible storytelling, crowd reaction, and pace of this thrilling battle. Eventually, Oba Femi stood tall as the victor by hitting Fall From Grace. 1-2-3.

#1: CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns — World Heavyweight Championship

9.75/10

In a brutal, 33-minute epic, Roman Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship entirely on his own without any Bloodline interference—to cement his status as an unstoppable standalone force. The storytelling was an absolute masterclass, featuring heavy in-ring psychology, incredible near-falls, and a crimson-masked Punk fighting to his absolute limit before falling to a decisive spear. Universally hailed as one of the greatest WrestleMania main events in history, it provided the perfect, end to a great reign by Punk.
