The Royal Rumble is always a heavily awaited event for WWE. Gunther fought AJ Styles in a classic that will be remembered as one of the greatest retirement matches In history, as a legendary superstar got RETIRED…
#4 The Women’s Royal Rumble
5.75/10

The Women’s rumble was under average- even for a match. The opening moment with Alexa Bliss and Charolette Flair was absolutely horrendous and embarrassing, they faked moves to each other and had a weird moment pretending to be enemies with each other, and eventually WAITING (for about 20 seconds of NOTHING) for the next entrant-not at great start. Then, the pace of the match began to set in as a slow and clunky start. There were some good moments however, like when Brie Belle made a surprise entrance and when when Liv Morgan entered. All in all, though it was pretty boring.
#3 Men’s Royal Rumble
6.75/10

This rumble was underwhelming as an average fight. The beginning started out hot as a favorable winner, Bron Breaker got thrown over, and when Oba Femi dominated. Most of the match was a little slow, but there were some high moments, like when LA Knight made his return and when POWERHOUSE HOBBS made his way to the ring. The winner was also a pretty good choice Roman Reighns who will most likely go on to face CM Punk one on one at the showcase of the immortals.
#2 Drew McIntyre Vs. Sami Zayn, WWE Championship
7.25/10

This was an above average performance that surpaced both Rumbles. It was good because of the storytelling, character work, and hard hitting style these men delivered. The powerbomb through the announce table was great, so was the 3 future shock DDTs, plus the amazing counter to form a helluva kick got some cheers. The choice of Drew McIntyre winning was correct as this was his first title defense, and he would have looked weak if he lost.
#1 AJ Styles Vs. Gunther, Career Threatening Match
8.5/10

This match was S tier awesome with AMAZING technical work, and Gunther BEATING THE HECK out of AJ Styles in an entertaining way. It was very emotional when Styles lost by PASSING OUT from the sleeper hold in mabey the best ending they could have done. The storytelling was off the charts and the violence was just wonderfuly executed. AJ Styles got his moments with a very last Styles Clash, and his signature 450 splash. The career killer kills another.
