Every Match On Backlash 2025, Ranked Worst To Best

Updated: May 12

Backlash 2025 was a great PPV with a red hot crowd, there were 3 really good matches from it. Here are ALL of them, ranked…

#5 Penta Vs. Dominick Mysterio, Intercontinental Championship

Rating from the Bros, 7/10

This match was expected by many to be a great match. It didn’t meet that standard, but it was still a pretty good fight. There were some high spots, such as when Mysterio did a suicide dive DDT! Also, Penta did a Mexican Destroyer on the RING APRON! However, when Finn Balor and the Judgement Day came to the ring, it got a little boring even though the crowd was hot.

#4 Pat McAfee Vs. Gunther

Rating from the Bros, 7.25/10

I don’t believe anyone expected this match to be as good as it was. A 7.75/10 is a great match, this one didn’t reach that standard, but it exceeded all expectations. The crowd was wild in this very emotional match. The storyline to the fight at Backlash was REALLY good(considering Pat isn’t even a wrestler) making a big fight feel to this battle in St. Louis. I am going say it again, this match was VERY emotional with Micheal Cole cheering on Pat while Gunther ruthlessly BEAT DOWN McAfee.

#3 LA Knight Vs. Jacob Fatu Vs. Drew McIntyre Vs. Damien Priest, USA Championship

Rating from the Bros, 8/10

This match had a load of high spots. The pace was mild, but there were some INSANE moments. Those moments included a Somoan Drop on the barricade, a belly to back suplex from the top rope, landing ONTOP of LA Knight, and a South of Heaven from a HUGE metal thing onto tables. This match had a REALLY loud crowd too ( I hope WWE hosts more events in St. Louis).

#2 Randy Orton Vs. John Cena, Undisputed WWE Championship

Rating from the Bros, 8.25/10

The main event of Backlash was very highly anticipated. Randy Orton and John Cena had a pretty good rivalry with a couple of great matches, this one added to that list. The crowd was ON FIRE in this brawl, making a giant fighting atmosphere for the wrestlers. Orton and Cena kept the match pretty simple which worked to their advantage. There were some high spots, such as when ORTON did an AA on the announce table, and when Orton again did an AA through a normal wood table!

#1 Becky Lynch Vs. Lyra Valkeria, Women’s Intercontinental Championship

Rating from the Bros, 8.5/10
