#5 Backlash 2025

Was overall a great PLE

Backlash in St. Louis had a strong match card and loud crowd. Gunther Vs. Pat McAfee was far better than expected and Randy Orton Vs. John Cena was a banger. The best match of the night was actually Becky Lynch Vs. Lyra Valkeria. The overall show was fun to watch and there was always something exiting going on.

#4 Royal Rumble 2025

Had two star matches

Royal Rumble had an incredible stage, adding a big fight feel to every match on the card. Cody Rhodes Vs. Kevin Owens was an incredible and brutal ladder match for the WWE Championship which got the fans excited for the actual Rumble matchup. The Women’s Royal Rumble was under average, but the men’s rumble was one of the best Royal Rumble matches ever. Both winners were great choices (Flair and Uso) especially Jey because it was so shocking.

#3 Crown Jewel 2025

This show felt complete in every way

What is really neat about Crown Jewel 2026 is that the colors were blue and yellow and the crowd even wore these different colors in favor of either Cena or Styles! The match card was strong with AJ and John tearing the house down with a great performance, and Rollins Vs. Rhodes was strong also with Rollins winning the CJ Championship instead of Rhodes again. The Women’s matches were also solid with fast paced technical work. Nothing really went wrong in this PLE, but then again there wasn’t anything huge or super surprising.

#2 SummerSlam 2025

The first 2 Night SummerSlam did anything but disappoint

SummerSlam’s match card was the best thing about this PLE. Night One of SummerSlam was underwhelming with only 2 great matches even though Punk Vs. Gunther was 8.75/10. However, night two was absolutely fantastic with 4 great matches, and 2 incredible performances, with the six way tag team earning 8.75/10, and John Vs. Cody earning an all time high of 9.25/10! Now, matches are not everything, but it’s half the show. The stage was also nicely built.

#1 Elimination Chamber 2025

This had everything

Elimination Chamber had everything from the stage to the matches. There was hype built around it even before the show started, and people were wondering if John Cena was going to get a Wrestlemania match with a World Champion. Luckily even more than that happened, both chamber matches were amazing with the men’s going above and beyond, plus the undercard was good also. But the most shocking part was the cliffhanger at the end, JOHN CENA TURNS HEEL. Not only was all that cool, but the stage was second to only WrestleMania 41 in 2025.
